Many companies are also using multi-carrier shipping strategies, partnering with several delivery providers to ensure reliable last-mile service and avoid disruptions during peak demand periods.

Consumer expectations have been one of the biggest drivers of this transformation. Online shoppers increasingly prioritize convenience and speed when choosing where to buy products. Studies show that faster delivery options significantly increase purchase intent, especially for frequently purchased items such as groceries, personal care products, and household essentials.

At the same time, retailers must balance speed with profitability. Ultra-fast delivery services require significant investments in warehouses, drivers, and transportation infrastructure. Companies are experimenting with new approaches such as local fulfillment hubs, electric delivery vehicles, and AI-powered logistics systems to reduce operational costs while maintaining fast delivery times.
