OPPO has just announced the new Find X10 series in China, a significant new camera upgrade for its flagship series. Launched on 22 September, the new Find X10, Find X10 Pro Max, and Find X10E have rolled out OPPO’s latest ranges of camera and mobile hardware innovations. The Pro Max has become the first smartphone to use three 200 megapixel rear cameras.
The Find X10 series introduces a new rear camera system and maintains the elegant styling found on other models in the Find series. The default Find X10 is available in Ice Blue, Clear Orange, Light Titanium and other colors, while the Pro Max is available in Moon White, Light Titanium, Warm Orange, and other shades. The Find X10 series also introduces incredibly thin symmetrical bezels measuring at just 0.99mm and around 1.15mm on the Pro Max.
As for the Pro Max, it’s approach to the camera system differs more clearly from the rest of the line. While the main camera island is square, next to it is a separate element with an additional sensor and flash, making it with a definite two-part construction that is characteristic of the camera. This also gives space for the teleconverter accessory mounted on the OPPO phone.
Photography is without a doubt the biggest selling point of the Find X10 Pro Max. The smartphone brings three 200 MP rear cameras, for a main, ultrawide and periscope telephoto roles. In doing so, it becomes the first ever smartphone to bring three 200MP rear cameras together into a single system. The base Find X10 also has a high-resolution sensor setup, with 200 MP main and periscope camera sensors, supplemented with the 50 MP ultrawide camera sensor.
OPPO maintains its photographic partnership with Hasselblad, with the use of the camera system, while LUMO computational photography from the vendor takes care of image processing and color reproduction. For the Pro Max, OPPO has incorporated a new DeepPix sensor technology, claiming the main camera offers 17 stops of dynamic range. The Pro Max is said to capture to retain even more detail in hard lighting scenarios and provide more consistent colors across the camera array.
Another key feature of the camera is that it caters to users who desire more flexibility when shooting. The optional Hasselblad teleconverter can improve the phone’s capacity for being used as a camera, in situations with subjects that are far away and increased telephoto photography. This suggests the Pro Max is oriented towards users who use their mobile as a camera before just a phone.
Find X10 Pro Max is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro, designed using N2P 2nm process of TSMC. Per OPPO, the platform gives 17% improved overall CPU performance than former generation and graphics performance under sustained workloads is improved by about 27%. Better neural-processing hardware has also been integrated for challenging on-device AI workloads.
OPPO equipped its chipset with Laminar Flow Engine that aims to provide more optimized system scheduling and rendering management. It is understood to enable the phone to start up seamlessly and offer smooth operation during heavy usage like playing games, multi tasking and instant photo processing.
